About us

Čechová Insolvency Services  k.s. is a subsidiary of the law firm  ČECHOVÁ & PARTNERS, s.r.o.,  fully authorised to perform the activities of a restructuring and bankruptcy trustee pursuant to Act no. 8/2005 Coll. on Trustees, as amended by subsequent regulations, and Act no. 7/2005 Coll. on Bankruptcy and Restructuring, as amended by subsequent regulations. 

Čechová Insolvency Services  has been operating as an insolvency administrator since 2013, although Katarína Čechová, who is its general partner and statutory body through which this company is qualified to perform administrative activities, has become the administrator of the bankruptcy estate back in 1993. Through her, the company draws on almost 30 years’ experience and expertise in insolvency law.

Čechová Insolvency Services  also uses the wide range of expertise and skills of the broader legal and economic team, which actively contributes to the high quality of activities and services of Čechová Insolvency Services. As a result, it is able to create ad hoc strong and qualified teams capable of providing comprehensive solutions and conducting the restructuring or bankruptcy of medium and large companies, as well.

Experience

With the view to the fact that ČECHOVÁ & PARTNERS team’s experience with transaction work and consulting for international and multinational companies, Čechová Insolvency Services  is able to oversee not just complex, but also multijurisdictional bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings and transactions.

We provided, for example, comprehensive legal assistance to the coordination committee of a group of 40 major foreign and local banks in the field of financial restructuring and reorganisation of the largest steel producer in Slovakia. Other largest cases of insolvency resolution in which we have acted include, for example, the restructuring of a major local producer of insulation and packaging materials, or an Asian flag carrier and aircraft lessor as the largest creditor in the restructuring and bankruptcy of a Slovak airline.
