Marek Holka is a partner at our law firm with more than ten years of legal practice. He primarily deals with antitrust and competition, pharmaceutical, and distribution law.
In the competition law area, Marek has advised in numerous cases of successful notifications of concentrations to the Slovak competition authority. He has been also involved in advising several multinational companies within antitrust investigations and proceedings, including on-site assistance during unannounced inspections, and regularly advises clients on antitrust compliance issues, including revising and setting up of distribution models and contracts, internal antitrust audits, and compliance trainings.
In the pharmaceutical industry, Marek has advised several multinational pharmaceutical companies in restructuring their distribution systems in Slovakia, and has guided clients through market access of numerous highly innovative pharmaceutical products, including negotiation and implementation on managed entry agreements. He regularly assists clients in proceedings concerning pricing and reimbursement of medicinal products, advertising and disease awareness activities, and a broad range of pharmaceutical regulatory and compliance matters, including biomedical research and clinical trials, as well as the related contract agenda.
Marek is a member of AIJA – International Association of Young Lawyers, and serves as the national representative for Slovakia since 2021.
He contributed a chapter on EU competition law to the textbook on European and international business law for the University of Economics in Bratislava, and regularly publishes in his areas of practice.
